Abram's Rock

Lore says that Abram, a Native American left the Womponoag tribe to live with the Swansea settlers. King Philip fought to bring him back fearing his friendship with them, and Abram hid at the bottom of the rock formations for months before being captured. He was then given a choice: Death, or three leaps from the top of the boulder to the ground 40 feet below. Bravely he choose to jump and survived the first two before the third taking his life.
