Deep Dark Woods

Copicut, a Wampanoag word meaning "deep dark woods" –  an apt name to describe the southern gateway to the 13,600-acre Southeastern Massachusetts Bio-reserve. Made up of Freetown State Forest, Copicut Woods, Miller Brook, and others. 

Settlers at the time would find themselves spooked as they stepped in to the forest as feelings of dread and heaviness would fall upon them. Many stated that it would feel as if it was night time in the middle of the day as the tree cover filtered out most light. One was easily lost in the expanse.

This candle embodies the forest with sandalwood, teak, pine, and tabacco.
